2020 wool
Some of this year's fleeces back from the mill spun into lovely yarn. Soft lustrous pewter grey Chunky and Aran weight wool from conservation grazer sheep living on a high nature value, low intensity farm in Silverdale,Lancashire and spun in Derbyshire and I'm in the middle in Cheshire!
The mill uses minimal processing so the resulting yarn looks like proper wool from real sheep!
The cream yarn is North of England Mule wool and comes from a farm near Garstang. Once again high nature value and low intensity and spun at the same mill. Makes fab hiking socks and will be woven into bags with Herdwick and Lonk wool.
